July — The GRA does not hold a meeting during the month of July.

The meeting on August 2 at Joyce Beers Community Center has been cancelled. The GRA is holding a special meeting on August 7; refer to the details below.
 

Thursday, August 7 — Tecolote Nature Center Classroom at Tecolote Canyon Natural Park, 5180 Tecolote Road.

Directions: Exit Number 21 (Sea World Drive/Tecolote Road) from Interstate 5 , then east for approximately one-half mile, past the Recreation Center Ball Fields. See Tecolote Canyon Natural Park for additional information regarding the park.

10:00 am — Noon

"Questions and Answers Regarding German Genealogical Research" with Reinhard Hofer, a professional genealogist in Germany. For additional information regarding Reinhard Hofer, visit his web site.

Bring a sack lunch and stay for the BIGRA Meeting at the same location from 1:30 pm to 3:15 pm. Michael Gandy, genealogist in Britain, will speak on "Puritans & Quakers: 17th Century Emigrant Ancestry" and "Huguenots: Many Went to America."
 
Saturday, September 6 — Family History Center
10:30 am — 1:30 pm

"Practice Writing German Script and Learn Basic German Genealogical Vocabulary, Part 1" with Joan Lowrey. GRA Members may bring their family information and obtain individual help.
 
Saturday, October 4 — Joyce Beers Community Center
9:00 am — Noon

10:30 am — 1:30 pm
